Jesus and the Holy Spirit

Jesus walked this earth as a man to show us that we can walk this earth as He did. Jesus was and continues to be our example. He is our example that through the Holy Spirit, we can have control over the desires our flesh and can walk this earth without sinning. How do we access the Holy Spirit?

When Jesus died He was resurrected by the Holy Spirit. When Jesus went to Heaven He instructed the Holy Spirit to dwell on earth. However, the Holy Spirit is given to only those who choose to believe and confess that Jesus died on the cross (crucifixion) for our sins and was raised from the dead (resurrection) for our salvation. The act of being “born again.”

The Holy Spirit empowers us to submit ourselves to the Heavenly Father, resist temptation to sin, and makes known unto us those things that please God. Our faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ, grants us the privilege of having our relationship with God restored through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

Our relationship with God is a covenant relationship that provides us with the Holy Spirit who enables us to overcome the impurities of the soul and the afflictions of the flesh. The Holy Spirit is our guarantee that we have a relationship with The Heavenly Father, and the down payment of more good things to come.
