FAITH, THE WEAPON OF OUR WARFARE

What is Faith? How does Faith work? How does one live by Faith?

We are not taught faith. We cannot be taught faith. Faith is something our Creator has given everyone. Whoever was born on this earth from Adam and Eve until now has been given the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). It does not matter what your cultural background is, what color you are, what religion you are, where you are going or where you are coming from. Our Creator gave everybody faith. Even if one doesn’t believe in a Creator or God you were given faith. Even for one to believe that there is no god is an act of faith that has been given.

Everybody has been given “the measure of faith”. The Webster Dictionary (Tenth Edition) defines faith as “the complete trust or confidence in someone or something for the purpose of accomplishing an act or activity” and hope is defined as “a desire accompanied by expectation of or belief in fulfillment”. I identify these two terms as mankind-faith. Both are essentially the same from the perspective each is an expectation of something to be gained or accomplished in the future. I refer to that kind of faith as mankind faith because it is inspired by man even though it was given by God. God desires the measure of faith which He has given to everyone to be God-inspired.

“The measure of faith” that is God inspired is defined in Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen (Christian Standard Bible translation). The God-inspired kind of faith I will refer to as Now Faith.

The Holy Bible (Bible) says in James 2:20 “…faith without actions has no value at all (Common English Bible). The faith referred to in this passage can be the mankind faith (inspired by man) or Now Faith (God inspired). Both require a commensurate action to take place. However, the mankind-faith hopes on the things in the natural to happen. Their faith depends on the actions of mankind to fulfill their desire(s). Now Faith people depend on the performance of God, and believe, spiritually, that it has already happened and confident that it will manifest in the natural. It is believing that what God has promised to do in the Word of God is the same as already been done.

Most of us are not paid prior to working, but after putting in a full day, week or month of work we expect to be paid. The commensurate action is that we spend, or obligate the money, before receiving it, through incurring long-term debt (car loans, rent/mortgage) or borrowing money. We make plans doing things with the money even before we take possession of it.
In the example above, mankind faith is hoping that your employer is going to pay you. You/we have been conditioned to see the employer as our provider. Now Faith is recognizing that God is our provider and that all of our need is supplied by God (Philippians 4:19). If one loses his job, the mankind-faith person becomes anxious and worries wondering how his needs will be met without the job he no longer has. The Now Faith person is confident that God is in control and that all of his needs will be met. The loss of their job does not dictate what they believe about the situation. They believe their need will continue to be supplied by God.

Mankind faith is all natural driven. When I use the word “natural” I am referring to those things that are in accordance or determined by nature. I like to think of those “things” that are in accordance or determined by nature as our five senses (smell, touch, taste, hearing and seeing). Mankind-faith is predicated on our senses which impact on our soul (mind, will and emotions). One or more of those components of our soul is always changing and fluctuating in response to any event in our lives. Consequently, mankind-faith people hope for something to happen, and when delay or disappointment arise, their hope becomes crushed and with it the heart is crushed (Proverbs 13:12).

It is God’s desire for us to live supernaturally in a natural world. To live supernaturally, our faith must be God-inspired which requires us to believe on the Word of God, from the first word in Genesis to the last word in Revelation. In the Word of God the following truths about God are contained: God’s purposes and character never changes (Hebrews 13:8), God does not lie (Titus 1:2) and the purposes of His promises are always fulfilled (Isaiah 55:11). To believe in the Word of God and the truths about God requires Now Faith.

There is war arising against Christ Followers. It is a war that if Christ Followers become separated from the Lord Jesus Christ (Jesus) because of fear or intimidation, we cannot anticipate victory. Christ Followers can and should anticipate victory if we are living with Now Faith. It is Now Faith that we have confidence that Jesus will prevail regardless of how furious the battle may appear in our lives.

The Word of God (Bible) says “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). If the Bible is true, and it is, and it is impossible for God to lie, and it is, then we can be assured that no matter how bad a situation is, it will turn out good for those who have Now Faith, and those who have Now Faith will fulfill His purpose.

This country’s social mores and life-style practices require that Christ Followers rise up and take back what the devil has stolen. It is up to us as Christ Followers to bring back those things that promote the teachings of Jesus Christ to education, government and life styles. The battle may become furious, but God will prevail.
This website is for the purpose of instructing Christ Followers how to develop the God-kind of faith that no matter how bad a situation may be or appear God will prevail.
If Christ Followers are to live in a manner pleasing to God in an immoral, idol-worshipping, unbelieving world we are going to have to live supernaturally, and to live supernaturally we are going to have to exercise our Now Faith.
